Terms of Service
What you're agreeing to when you use Elevate HQ Tourney — in plain language, not legal filler.
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of Elevate HQ Tourney, operated by Elevate HQ Ltd. ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. We're a small team preparing for our first pilot tournament in August 2026 — these terms reflect our current product and will be reviewed by counsel before we scale past pilot.
The service
Elevate HQ Tourney is a tournament management platform: registration, scheduling, bracket building, and live scoring for youth sports tournaments, currently focused on Canadian softball. Anyone can create a free account. Roles (tournament director, coach, scorekeeper, fan) are capabilities within a single account, not separate signups.
Fees and payment
- Creating an account and building a tournament is free.
- Publishing a tournament costs a flat $30 CAD per confirmed team, charged to the tournament director's card on file — not to individual teams, and not as a percentage of anything.
- You have a 24-hour window after finalizing to remove teams before the charge settles. Once that window closes, the charge is final and non-refundable.
- How you collect registration fees from your own teams is entirely between you and them — we're not part of that transaction and have no visibility into it.
- If we determine an account is routing team payments around the platform specifically to avoid the per-team fee, we may flag the account and suspend tournament access.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter — team rosters, schedules, scores, tournament details — and for how you use any data the platform gives you access to (e.g., not sharing another team's roster outside your tournament's admin group). You agree not to use the platform to harass, defraud, or misrepresent tournament results.
Nothing we generate is final until you say so
Brackets, schedules, and seedings the platform generates are starting points, not locked decisions — you can edit, reassign, or override anything before and during your tournament. We're not responsible for a schedule or bracket you chose not to review before publishing.
What we don't guarantee
We're a small team running a platform that's still early. We work hard to keep it reliable, especially during live tournament days, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect damages arising from an outage, bug, or data loss. If something breaks during your tournament, tell us immediately — see our Support page.
Account suspension
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, attempts to defraud the platform or other users, or creates safety or legal risk — particularly anything involving player data collected for minors. We'll tell you why if we do.
Changes to these terms
As we move from pilot to a broader launch, these terms will evolve. We'll note material changes here and, where practical, notify active tournament directors directly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
